Another mini! This one of Punz a little bit after arriving at the farm uvu
Since centaurs aren’t native to the land, and Punz not being fluid in the language yet, it takes a bit for the others to learn about centaur habits and culture. One of them being dressing! He was given a shirt right away but Sam eventually noticed he seemed flustered and uncomfortable with his state of dress, often trying to cover up his back and lower torso. This was momentarily fixed by borrowing one of Sylvee’s aprons and wrapping a sheet over his back, until Sam managed to find some reliable documentation on centaur culture and used that to help Sylvee and Hannah put together some actual proper clothes for Punz
#punz#c!punz#punz fanart#dsmp#dream smp#there's a lot of false info about centaurs spread by humans in this au#since most people haven't even seen one and mostly just hear stories#the gang at the farm didn't even know if Punz would have a humanoid or animal like intelligence when they brought him in#and Sam had to look all over to find accurate information#centaur au#pom art

#mlp#My Little Pony#g1#g2#g3#g3.5#g4#g4.5#g5#I had to think about this a while#personally my answer is no they are not dolls#it's true they were designed to be played with 'as if' they were dolls#like they are portrayed as intelligent creatures who talk#not mere pets#but that is also the case with Fluppy Dogs and Pound Puppies: they talked and even had fashion packs#and they are always called stuffed animals not dolls#I had a bunch of little cheap plastic zoo animals growing up (you know the kind)#and I gave them human personalities and imagined them talking and having adventures#but I wouldn't consider them dolls; I'd call them animal figures or just 'plastic animals'#to me 'doll' implies human or at least human looking (could be an alien or a monster or have a dog head like Pinkie Cooper etc)#but most importantly if someone says 'I wasn't into dolls as a kid; I was only into My Little Ponies'#you instantly understand what they mean#whereas if someone said 'I wasn't into dolls as a kid; I was only into Barbie' you'd be like 'wait what'

5 million male chicks per year are brutally murdered right after birth bc they're "worthless" to the egg industry yet im supposed to believe that humans arent inherently evil lmao shut the fuck up
#5 million only in sweden#imagine the number in the entire world#imagine all the other animals that are being slaughtered#god i wanna throw up humanity is so so so evil#we play god#we think we have the right to first make sure animals get raped (breeding at an unnatural rate is rape)#then have these animals in HORRIBLE 'living' conditions (ppl liken their conditions to actual hell!!)#and not only that the human workers more often than not sadistically torture nd abuse them before slaughtering them#on top of that... humans are so fucking useless they throw away most of meat and animal products#they like buy a package of meat then theyre too braindead to cook w it so it goes bad nd they throw it out#i dont know#all of this is unnatural and unholy. none of this is how its suplosed to be#we didnt get life just to put ourselves on top and then abuse and torture every other living being like this#no humanity is a sickness. humans are a cancer. a parasite. the more i think abt it the more im cemented in that belief#ppl act like 1% of 'goodness' weighs up for the profound harm and cruelty humans have set loose on this earth. thats a fucking joke!#god what the fuck is wrong with humanity. it's like everything went wrong .. well from the start rlly#humans (mostly men if we're being honest. women dont have nor act on such depraved desires) been fucking insane#animals arent cruel or sadistic. they follow their nature. the eating and killing isnt more than that#sure some animals like cats have sadistic behaviors. but that is nowhere near the scale humans act on it#like cats dont lock mice in a facility nd force them to breed nd then torture them in insane amounts nd so on so forth#humans are wrong. im certain that we were never meant to live like this. it's all insanity. the worst part it. 99.99% of ppl are part of it#it's so hard to find anyone who's intelligent enough to comprehend this. theyre all braindead megalomaniac sheep w a superiority complex#i cant connect w anyone bc of it#i just get so disappointed when i realize someone's just as braindead as everyone else nd then i stop caring abt them. everyone r this way.#idk how to live with these humans. theyre all fucking insane

#I like this episode! Very good. Very b/sd.#It's just...#I just don't really like the narrative “everyone else is stupid and must be taken care of because they're too dumb to do it themselves”.#It just feels unnecessarily discriminatory.#I understand it could be what Ranpo wanted to hear in that moment‚ after a life of feeling like walking among monsters#... But to pretty much say everyone is lesser than him doesn't sound good at all tbh. And pretty anti-democratic.#Yeah I just really can't vibe with scorning and looking down upon everyone else even when it comes from a place of rightful frustration.#Sorry.#But it is very b/sd so there's that.#The fact that Ranpo is so soooo intelligent but also wasn't able to tell Fukuzawa was lying at him about his ability–#does feel a bit plot hole-y to me. Like I get Fukuzawa is very persuasive - he didn't even give Ranpo the time to get too sceptical -#And I get in a way Ranpo /wanted/ it to be true. Still it's been established soooooo much up to now that he can see through anything...#But maybe I can only complain ajsyfcsigeufleiub sorry. Again it was a very good episode and an heartwarming story#I also think the murder victim turning out to be alive is the most underwhelming result of any mystery plot but that's just me#Even then I think Tokio's character is an interesting one!! And I love theater#What else. Brilliant episode animation wise.#The black&white to colour is still probably the most witty original and beautiful thing the b/sd anime ever came up with#(Each instance of good animation makes me salty at s5ep3 but eh. Skill issue)#I love Egawa! (Is her name a play on Edogawa? The kanjis are the same 江川 / 江戸川)#To the next episode!! I can't wait to see Oda and Fukuchi 🥺🥺#random rambles#Idk I just think if someone is particularly good at something‚ whatever it is they should still be humble.#Looking down on people automatically makes you look bad no matter what your abilities are.#But it's just me#Edit: “Out to keep the foolish masses safe” is such a reactionary phrase... C'mon now.........#Next thing you know they're taking away the right to vote from the people because the foolish masses are too dumb to elect 🤦♂️

Here is the handsome fellow <3
He has a little white dot!
So cuuuute <3 <3 I'm envious, I've been looking for any Jumpers around here lately, haven't seen any yet!
#Spider#Phidippus Audax#Bold Jumping Spider#I keep seeing YouTube recommendations of ''Jumping Spider: Best Pet Spider???'' and like how-tos on making simple enclosures and jfkdlsahfd#They're also some of the few animals you can pick right up out of your backyard and keep - by the standards of spider and reptile people#Most animals you don't wanna do that lol - a lot of animals Can be domesticated but by definition of being in your backyard - are not#Spiders are ''wild'' whether they're captive bred or caught in nature tho :) And Jumpers are especially intelligent!#There's still a part of me that doesn't want to tho since they have such naturally short lifespans :')#Same reason I want to but can't imagine raising moths or Rhinoceros beetles or any of the like#They're too beautiful and I'd be too sad - but it might also be the right lifespan for me to learn by I don't know#Anyhow anyhow - thanks for showing me this cute little lad ahhh <3 <3#Delightful little fuzzy mustache and a very pronounced white dot! Very handsome! :D

Just a PSA to anyone talking about alien life forms, the terms “sentient life” and “intelligent life” refer to different things and should not be used interchangeably.
Sentient life refers to consciousness and the ability of a life form to react to and make decisions based on stimuli. Generally anything with a brain is considered to be sentient, however depending on the exact definition of sentience you’re working with, arguments can be made that insects and certain kinds of plants and fungi are sentient as well.
Intelligent life on the other hand, refers to life forms with “human-like” intelligence. The exact criteria differs between scientists but it’s generally understood to be life that exhibits higher level thinking which is indicated by things like being self-aware, having the ability to learn and use tools, being able to communicate, and having some form of culture or society. At the moment, humans are considered to be the only intelligent life in the universe, but many animals such as octopi, dolphins, some monkeys, elephants, and some corvids also exhibit some of these traits.
#in sci fi like Star Wars for example#I would consider all humanoids/alien races as well as most droids to be intelligent life#and all the other droids and animals to be sentient#of course there’s the added layer of stuff like the force but I don’t think that would grant universal consciousness#anyway#this is brought to you by someone with an astrobiology degree who just saw someone call a purrgil ‘semi-sentient’#star wars aliens

I got mad about how genuinely pretentious and condescending people on here about things that honestly don't even matter that much and so I went oh I know and I went to a mutual in law's blog because I KNOW they have the exact same views as me on them but they articulate them so much better and bam I got like six posts in a row of excellent compassionate measured responses to the very mean-spirited and meaninglessly cruel culture on here surrounding 'anti-intellectualism' and also calling people virgins in a derogatory way. like thanks! gotta jet
#man I wish our interests overlapped more *salutes*#breaking point was someone reposting a meme celebrating thinking of fanon hcs to flesh out an underdeveloped character#and commenting it like 'wow I know this was a YA or anime' like you're just being a dick at this point. who is this hurting#I would have agreed with the og meme! not every character is well developed due to various constraints or the role they have#sometimes you get attached to stories with shallow characters but you love it anyway and you wanna develop them#ppl thinking up new material for them and having a good time is not the Death of Art you all are so nasty to others#like I fail to see the appeal in mocking that and this is coming FROM a hater#but there are so many ppl on here that are so needlessly judgemental and smug and self-righteous about having Correct Media Literacy#and like...I'm not going to say anyone should stop bc im not the website police but you're all so mean#I don't even have a stake in most of this I just don't think it's worth it to be cruel to other ppl over and I don't like ppl acting better#than others bc it's not like being into literature or like. 'highbrow' media is a moral imperative/morally good. it's just what you're into#the world exists outside of literature and plenty of people with trashy tastes have strengths and skills you couldn't even imagine#and even if they don't! having bad taste or being a bit stupid about media isn't a moral failing!#a woman I work with reads the court of thorns books for fun and she is a kinder and better and more skilled and intelligent person#than I will ever be. she has a stressful and very high-impact job and it's how she relaxes. it's fine. it's fine#cor.txt

Yes Vulcans losing control after a loved one has been hurt is great
But what I actually crave from a Vulcan/Human relationship is the Human being in danger and the Vulcan obviously caring a ton but still perfectly in control of their emotions and all the more terrifying for it
#platonic romantic familial whatever#could be several humans they’re going out to protect#I just like Vulcans protecting/saving Humans#in their own specific way#with determined logic and learned grace#this isn’t an animal backed into a corner#this is a sentient intelligent person with anger thrumming through their veins#but with so much willpower and level headedness that you can’t bait them#they *will* take you out in the most efficient way#Vulcans my beloved#Vulcans#humans#Star Trek#I know my default is usually romantic relationships#or fun friends relationships#but we don’t talk enough about Vulcans adopting Human children and other species similar to Humab strength#and being so careful with them#they’re all great#every type of relationship involving Vulcans is just so fantastic in my mind

Ayato really liking dogs and the connection between Thoma and dogs really kind of just... portray their relationship in a bad light, but in the kind of way that I can't say it's incorrect either.
#genshin impact#kamisato ayato#thoma#i feel that out of all the non kemonomimi characters thoma is the most associated with an animal#and that is because he's associated with taroumaru in a way that i can't help but feel there's meaning#thoma is the most like a loyal dog#and why does ayato like dogs?#they are well-behaved obedient and loyal#ayato likes dogs because they represent what he finds the most attractive in humans#and not attractive in the romantic sense#while this isn't necessarily a bad thing i just can't help but wonder if ayato even sees thoma anything past a tool#there's no doubt he likes thoma but it's more just to mess with him like with food and doing chores#the thing with ayato is that he views things in the light of efficiency#he is calculated purposeful and intelligent#but he is also lead by whim#the only person we know for sure he cares about is his sister

Considering Sir Sparklepuff is written to act and behave like a child it'd be pretty weird to go down the idea of pregnancy I'm ngl
are y'all serious rn
i don't know how to tell you this but a magical being that was a bug for two years and therefore doesn't have a real-life equivalent of existence is not necessarily a 'child' just because he's short and doesn't Talk and I really think you could reconsider that viewpoint
#fandom nonsense#thanks for asking#anonymous#tw ableism#MAYBE??#like at most i see him as a highly intelligent animal (not unlike a dragon from httyd)#mostly bc of the way he moves / eats#and idk if u know this but a lot of animals can have babies Very Quickly#so to read 'full humanness' onto him but on the condition that he's a child??#inchresting. inchresting

Every time I like watch videos of cats doing things I'm reminded that we don't really know exactly how smart cats are because they seem to willingly choose to not follow instructions.
#so there's a possibility cats could be like one of the least intelligent domesticated mammals or like smarter than even pigs.#they're very mysterious animals despite being like the most common pet in the world lol
